David Lerner Schwartz is the recipient of the Robert Day Award for Fiction from New Letters whose work has been published in Ecotone, Witness, Literary Hub, The Rumpus, New York magazine, and more. He holds a PhD from the University of Cincinnati and teaches in the MFA program at the University of Central Florida.

David Lerner Schwartz is a writer has been published in Ecotone, Witness, New Ohio Review, Literary Hub, New York magazine, The Rumpus, SmokeLong Quarterly, and more. Schwartz received the New Letters Robert Day Award for Fiction and was a finalist for The Florida Review Jeanne Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award, The Masters Review Chapbook Open, and the Katherine Anne Porter Prize. His writing has been supported by the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and St. Albans School, where he served as the writer in residence. Schwartz holds a PhD from the University of Cincinnati, an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars, and a BA from Tufts University. He teaches in the MFA program at the University of Central Florida.
