David Lerner Schwartz is a writer and designer living in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been published in SmokeLong Quarterly, New York Magazine, Gravel, and more. He holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars, where he was a recipient of the MFA Alumni Writer’s Grant. Find him @SchwartzStories.


In 2018, David was a semi-finalist in the American Short Fiction contest judged by Lauren Groff. He was most recently interviewed by SmokeLong Quarterly for their fifty-ninth issue. In 2014, David studied with Nancy Zafris at the Kenyon Writer’s Workshop. David has a bachelor’s in English and international relations from Tufts University, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Tufts Observer.
